Kathy Coakley

Director, PTA, ATC, ITAT

Kathy Coakley’s extensive background in physical therapy and sports medicine inspires the quality of care COASTherapy has demonstrated since 1986. After obtaining her Bachelors of Science Degree in Kinesiology from UCLA, Kathy began her journey of becoming a prominent figure in the Sports Medicine community. As an Athletic Trainer and Therapist, Kathy has traveled nationally and internationally with seventeen United States Teams and two Olympic games. In the 1984 Olympic games, Kathy was selected as the Coordinator of Sports Medicine for cycling. COASTherapy is the official physical therapy clinic for the U.S. Woman’s Water Polo Team. Currently she works with Vans and runs the medical for the BMX and Skate for the U.S. Open Of Surf in Huntington Beach and travels covering various events for Vans extreme sports. Her expertise and enthusiasm has provided her opportunities to conduct courses in sports medicine at the university, state and high school levels. Kathy continues to be an active member of her community, with involvement in youth and club athletic organizations. Kathy has played volleyball, ran marathons, triathlons and enjoys paddling on a regular basis.


Don Mc Neill

Director-Huntington Beach, MPT, ITPT

Don received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 1998 and has owned his own Physical Therapy Company. He has a broad working knowledge of the physical therapy field secondary to years of experience. He has significant expertise with orthopedic and sports injuries, ruptures, dislocations, tendon and ligament disorders as well as pre- and post-operative cases. Don also has significant experience working with workman’s comp injuries (repetitive-overuse syndrome, sprains-strains, corrective surgeries). Don has experience with chronic pain patients with emphasis on spinal stenosis/ degenerative joint disease. He has been a clinical instructor for many students at local universities. Don has been in physical fitness and sports for his entire life with emphasis on football, baseball and basketball and recently in-creased his interest in martial arts, biking and tennis.


Jamie Newsom

MS, DPT, ITPT, IASTM Certified Practitioner

Jamie attended California State University, Long Beach where she received her BS in Exercise Science. She then continued her education, earning her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at CSULB in 2009. In 2015 she completed her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy through Temple University. She has extensive experience in treating the shoulder, knee, various manual therapy techniques, managing lower extremity dysfunctions, post­surgical rehabilitation and treating a wide variety of sports related injuries in athletes of all ages and skill levels, as well as sports training and conditioning. She is also skilled in various KT Taping techniques. ​She has played sports throughout her life, maintaining an active lifestyle, she currently enjoys playing in several Orange County women’s and co­ed soccer leagues, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors.



Rachael Knoblauch


Rachael Knoblauch received her doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 2015, after completing her undergraduate studies in Spanish at UCLA. She is also credentialed as an Impact Trained Physical Therapist for concussions. Having spent a year abroad in Spain and Costa Rica, she is fluent in the Spanish language. She has had experience working with patients in pediatrics, vestibular rehab, acute care, and a variety of orthopedic clinics. She was raised on the Big Island of Hawaii and enjoys surfing, running and being outdoors in her free time.



Kayla Monroy

Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Speed Specialist, MS, ATC, CSS, ITAT, IASTM Certified Practitioner

Kayla received her Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from Barry University, where she played Division 2 Softball for four years as a catcher. She brings a fresh approach in developing specialized fitness programs uniquely designed for her patients. Kayla is skilled in athletic training protocols and certified in Graston Technique and is a certified Speed Specialist. Kayla is also an Impact Trained Athletic Trainer for concussions and has Impact Test athletes and teams. She has covered athletic events including, Pac-12 Tennis, USTA So Cal Tennis, the Riviera Women’s All-American Tennis Championships, LAUSD X-Country, Football, and Rugby.


Jeff DeYoung

DC, C.C.S.P.

Jeff DeYoung graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1991. He became a certified sports physician in 1994 of postgraduate courses and passing a nationally certified test. Dr. DeYoung had also been certified to perform manipulation under anesthesia in 2002. Prior to opening his office in Gainesville, Dr. DeYoung was the director of a multidisciplinary practice in Orange County California for five years with an orthopedic surgeon, pain management specialist, neurologist, podiatrist and physical therapist under one roof. He also had a successful family and sports rehabilitation practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado for six years. In his spare time Dr. DeYoung enjoys golfing, mountain biking, canoeing, hiking and as a former competitive bodybuilder continues to workout 5 days a week.




Victor Davenport

PTA, Weightlifting Coach

Victor Davenport was born and raised in North Orange County, Ca. He started competing in wrestling when he was 7 years old. Victor competed nationally in Greco Roman wrestling until 2008 and starting competing nationally in Olympic Weightlifting in 2005. Victor received an athletic scholarship to Louisiana State University in 2008 and attended LSU for 2 years before enrolling at California State University, Fullerton to complete his B.S in Kinesiology. He went on to complete the Physical Therapist Assistant program at ACC. Enjoying his new position, Victor spends his free time hiking, cooking, and gardening.

Holli is a proud graduate of the Biology program at Ave Maria University. Before joining our team, she spent two years in a whole body donation lab that specializes in medical research and training events for doctors around the world. In her time there she gained incredible insight into anatomy and the pathology of disease. After deciding she wanted to be on the prevention end of these diseases, Holli began working on her real passion -nutrition. A Holistic Nutritionist, she focuses on the power of food to fuel, heal, and energize the person. Drawing from her research background, she only uses the latest evidence-based methods to make recommendations for her clients with specialties in weight loss, sports performance, and optimum wellness. Holli is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Nutrition, but when she isn't studying she enjoys working out, traveling, and anything outdoors.



Camille Lee


Camille Lee received her B.S. in Physiological Science at UCLA in 2007 and went on to finish her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at UCSF in 2014. For the completion of her doctoral studies, Camille performed a systematic review and meta-analysis regarding myofascial trigger points, titled “Trigger Point Release as an Intervention for Immediate Pain Reduction of Myofascial Trigger Points in the Upper Trapezius Muscle.” Camille has been a student of yoga for the past 8 years and has completed a Pilate’s continuing education course. She has successfully incorporated the Pilates method using core stability and mindfulness of the human body in functionally lengthened positions into her therapeutic exercise programs. In addition, Camille has also utilizes myofascial decompression, also known as “cupping,” to increase efficiency of motion through fascial flexibility and neuromuscular re-education to address sports and orthopedic injuries at the root cause through the connective tissue matrix dysfunction or fascial plane restriction

Rene Rinard

Originally from Claremont, California, Renee traveled to Florida for her studies where she attended Florida State University earning a B.S. degree in Exercise Science. She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida International University. Renee has experience working with various musculoskeletal dysfunctions, pre/ post-operative cases, and recreational and professional athletes of all ages. Striving to provide the best care for her patients, she incorporates various techniques including Active Release Technique, IASTM, manual therapy techniques, KT taping, Myofascial Decompression Cupping, and a personalized exercise program into her treatments to improve mobility and function. Having remained active since her youth with participation in competitive soccer teams, Renee continues to strive for a healthy lifestyle. In her free time, Renee enjoys going to the beach, traveling, snowboarding, going on hikes with her dog, and cheering on her Alumni Football team.

Kristen Hunsuck graduated from Concordia Irvine with her bachelor's degree in Exercise Sport Science with honors. Kristen then earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at California State University, Long Beach. Growing up as a native Californian, Kristen loves hiking in Yosemite. She also likes playing recreational sports such as ultimate frisbee, soccer, swimmimg, and surfing. Kristen also enjoyed leading an aqua fitness aerobics class for seniors in the past. Her desire for staying active and healthy is what drives her to encourage and enable her patients return to doing what they also love to do.

Josh received his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in strength and conditioning, sports performance and rehabilitation. Josh aspires to be a Doctor of Chiropractic with emphasis in sports rehabilitation. He has a passion for sports, weight training and played basketball, hockey and baseball growing up. After sustaining a knee injury he was introduced to physical therapy where he was introduced to sports medicine. In his free time he enjoys spending with his wife and son.

Stephen received his degree in Kinesiology from Cal State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in strength and conditioning. Steven believes in a healthy mind and sound body which has led him in to strength and conditioning. His plans are to continue his education and become a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Stephen enjoys competing in marathons, rugby and wrestling and just recently climbed Mt. Whitney.
